Another Street performance right next to the tap dancing painter was this man who dressed fully in silver managed to manipulate a glass orb in ways I’ve never seen before. Probably the most unique street performance I’ve ever seen, it got better as it went on and I have the start to finish here!

I was told Comiket would be busy. I went on the least busiest day of the year – 31st December. Comiket is the biggest manga convention in the world (I will explain more in my next post). It is broke into 3 day summer and 3 day winter events in a feeble attempt to make it less busy, has just doubled the yearly average of 400,000 people in attendance on each long weekend.

This is how they celebrate new years in Japan. Note a distinct lack of fireworks – but quite a lot of balloons!

People tie a bit of paper to the balloon with their wishes for the year (prosperous, wealth, health, etc)
