Turtle Power! (Part 2)

The turtle was swaying her back legs burying where her eggs dropped. We had missed the event! Still it was nice to see the turtle up close, they are bigger then I imagined; on average they are 1M long, and about 95cm in diameter over the shell. There is a small 100 year old Chinese temple in Sandakan, it is a bit out of place now with Sandakan built around it.

In Sandakan I was equipped with a local map. After gathering my bearings I was already close to a landmark: the fountain. Close by was the Sandakan Museum off a court opposite the police station so I popped in to have a look around there.

I woke up expecting to get on a push bike and straight to the Orangutan rehabilitation centre but the bikes were not ready yet. I chatted with Lee Kun’s wife, Phui Wan, about my travel plans and she showed me some pictures of her and Lee Kun’s trip to Japan. Read the rest! \(^u^)/ →
