A tour of the town of Albany (seperate post coming later on this year) which was prepared for Christmas and discovering Australia has free electric BBQs EVERYWHERE and taking advantage of that with bacon and sausages we was very happy with the start of today.

BBQ’d fried breakfast, nice!

I awoke early and peaked out the window, a red dot rising above the sea was a nice sight to see, but I fell asleep too soon to take a picture of it.
5 bits of bird crap featured on the van in the morning, clearly the blue, green and orange machine was a morning target for the seagulls. Also a strange hybrid breed of wasp/fly decided I was a good target for morning stinging, repetitively. Read the rest! \(^u^)/ →

I found a smile increasing the tightness of my face the further I got away from Perth. This is the first big adventure I had set upon; driving across Australia in a 1985 Mystery Machine’d Toyota Tarago.

Time to get moving

I’m very suspicious of things going well, it’s not normal. Maybe it’s because I come from a country which has 85% of its days overcast run by an unelected prime minister, but when things go well it usually means prepare for something to go badly soon, and this is just as I am about to leave Perth for the biggest road trip I’ve ever done (so will be a bit behind moderating comments) and drive 4000km across a desert in this thing…

That's right, I actually own this thing
