After a good few days in Melbourne, which I really enjoyed, it’s by far my favourite city in Australia so far (and I suspect will remain that way) and catching the movie ‘Avatar’ in 3D at IMAX (Melbourne has the 3rd worlds biggest flat screen there) we headed off to our final destination: Sydney.

We spent a couple of days in Adelaide (separate post on the city later), visiting the sights including the zoo, pictures from that will be mid-week photo essays (first week is my more stylish photos, second week is sleeping animals and third week is the best of the rest).

Today I woke up to find I was in the middle of a market, a small car boot style event, with a quick look around I ended up buying a book, nothing like a bit of non-battery powered entertainment for a long road trip. Read the rest! \(^_^)/ →

Waking up outside an auto-electrician’s place (probably the least glamourous place we’ve woken up on this trip so far), Darren got the starter motor on and working, we gave him a crate of beer as a token of our appreciation and he offered us a hot shower each, which I quickly accepted; there is showers on route at fuel stops, but they aren’t the most refreshing of places to clean up.
