Tubing in Vang Vieng

Vang Vieng is in the centre of northern Laos. It is a small town to a village scale, and consists of bars/resturants playing the tv show ‘Friends’, tour booking agents and guesthouses, you’d struggle to find much more. However people go to this remote town for one thing – Tubing.

Firstly I’d like to state waking up in the jungle and realising you forgot to put up a mosquito net is not too pleasant. A lot of anti-septic cream later, we set off through the rest of the village passing the nearby school, where even English lessons are part of the curriculum.

Another day, another wonder. With a population of 4 million Bangkok is a busy place, the recent protests have hit worldwide headlines, but I’ve come across nothing but a load of ‘BNE was here’ graffiti everywhere. Oh and this police line up, which seemed to be more practise and getting in the way then anything else:
