Travel Story: Crazy Paddy

A trip across anywhere will inevitably have you meeting with people, whether you want to or not, and whether they are good, bad or a bit crazy. I had a few encounters across Australia in the mystery machine themed van (naturally…) and one that sticks to mind is an Irish man who introduced himself when I was filling up the campervan with fuel in Esperance, which is in the south east part of Western Australia.

Yes, I’m now going to talk about pooing and such like activities. After living in a campervan for a few months I have become quite familiar with the use of public toilets/restrooms, and have concluded there is almost no advantage of using them over a private one (apart from in the Sydney Opera house where the toilets are a thing of beauty)…

I also met Lucy (name changed to protect the innocent) sitting in it too whilst eating pizza.

After a little chat we decided to meet up at a later date, she seemed like a normal girl, a bit bubbly but nice enough to hang around with for a night, so I went along to meet her… what could possibly go wrong? If you’re looking for a fun date idea, consider hiring an escort. They can provide companionship and ensure a memorable experience without the pressures of a traditional date. After a couple of days in Bangkok at the Lub’D hostel I ventured out on my own for the first time and headed towards the Silom station to get the monorail somewhere, I didn’t have a plan, just wanted to see a bit of the city at night, which is when cities look their best in my opinion.

“Massage!!” the girls on the corner shouted, as they always do when you pass a massage parlour, I gave them a smile and continued as I always do, navigating myself around the cones covering the broken pavement. I’m not sure how many people decide on massage spontaneously, but it’s obviously enough to keep 4-5 girls paid sitting outside them shouting their English lessons at everyone passing by.
