Fancy a safari in Africa? Well a competition is now on where you can get there.

I’ll point out a catch straight away – you already have to have gone to South Africa (I haven’t so can’t enter myself) but I though I’d share this is my readers: Acacia Africa is the company organising the prize, so check their website out in get your entries in before 12th February.

Adventure specialist, Acacia Africa is offering a 6-day overland safari to the lucky winner of its South Africa-centric Wild Tweep competition. All you have to do is fill in a Q&A () and agree to participate in a 20-minute virtual tweet up, being held on the 26th of February. Waking up outside an auto-electrician’s place (probably the least glamourous place we’ve woken up on this trip so far), Darren got the starter motor on and working, we gave him a crate of beer as a token of our appreciation and he offered us a hot shower each, which I quickly accepted; there is showers on route at fuel stops, but they aren’t the most refreshing of places to clean up.

Not Inside Adelaide

For the first time on the trip it rained on our short morning drive from Port Augusta to Adelaide, which made for more entertaining driving as well as a more winter feel to the time of year.
