For the first time on the trip it rained on our short morning drive from Port Augusta to Adelaide, which made for more entertaining driving as well as a more winter feel to the time of year.

We stopped off at a place called Port Pirie, which was naff, beach was naff, nothing about, no people about, but still, it was a stop.
We found our way past Adelaide to a car park beside the beach for the night, although the sign did say no camping…
