Australia day

Australia Day 26th February 2010

I wasn’t quite sure what this ‘Australia Day’ was all about. I never heard about it before arriving in Australia and close to the time. January 26th every year is the date. To me it seemed just a day to be patriotic for no particular reason. Being close to Sydney, I went into the city to check what it’s all about.It certainly seemed a festive time. Albany

Aboriginal chief who made an agreement with european settlers

Albany is the 6th largest city in Western Australia, however that doesn’t equal to much at 33k people. Is is also WA’s oldest European settlement, outdating Fremantle by 2 years.

The city surrounds princess harbour bay, and it has a wind farm overlooking it providing 75% of the cities power needs. Read the rest! \(^u^)/ →

So I went on the Lonely Planet forum and asked if there is anything in particular I should see on a drive from Perth to Sydney.

Pretty much everyone with experience of the drive said the same thing: Go to Esperance.
