Malaysian Night Market

September 12, 2010 · 15 comments

In my last few days in Malaysia, I met up with Mei and Jo from www.cumidanciki.com and they showed me around their local food market to get a taste (quite literally) of how it is traditionally done in Malaysia. What surprised me was the amount of variety packed in such a small area. The farmers selling their produce were also quite happy to encourage people tasting their own fruit in an effort to prove it was the best.

Lake Baikal, Russia

Lake Baikal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a remarkable list of credits. The extraordinary body of water in south Siberia, between Irkutsk Oblast and the Buryat Republic, is 25 million years old and 1.7 km deep – no other lake comes close. Lake Baikal contains more than 20% of the planet’s unfrozen surface freshwater and over 1,000 genera of endemic flora and fauna. For a once-in-a-lifetime tour of Lake Baikal, most visitors start off in Moscow and fly to the city of Irkutsk.

To kick off a new series of posts of living in a campervan, I’m going to detail instructions for tinting your windows. It’s quite a simple procedure although skill and experience get it right, it is easy to mess up.

The benefits of tinting windows is numerous and those benefits are amplified in a campervan for a trip across a hot country.
