Today I celebrate my 6 month travelling anniversary.
On the 22nd of March I left the UK, and I have visited Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and have started my year long working holiday in Australia since then.
I would like to dedicate this post to everyone I have met and have supported me throughout my travels.
Thank you to my old employer who accepted my voluntary severance to boost my inital travel fund.
Thank you to my family for raising me and letting me go without too much fuss!
Thank you to the Chin Family, Sue, Sydney, and Elnie who let me stay in their homes for free, and a thumbs up to Couch Surfing for making 2 of those connections possible.
Thank you to the Malaysians who told me about where they live and showed me around.
Thank you to the Brunei man who gave my legs a massage after climbing Mount Kinabalu and the Japanese man who encouaged me to make it to the top.
Thank you to the residents of Singapore for showing me around, and the Indonesian girls for keeping me company.
Thank you to the crazy tuk-tuk drivers of Thailand for getting me around quickly to where I want, the group I trekked through the jungle with and everyone else there who showed me a good time.
Thank you to the people who got drunk with me in Laos.
Thank you to The European Guesthouse who gave me a beer after a stressful entry into Cambodia, and the Italian guy who sang Bob Marley songs to me after. And the girl who fed me a duck fetus.
Thank you to Mike, Josh and Alex for being awesome housemates in Perth, and all the house visitors for their entertainment.
Thank you for everyone in Australia who has given me employment opportunities.
Thank you to the MatadorU for the travel writing course (more on that later…), and the guys at DIYThemes for the Thesis Theme that my redesigned website is based upon.
Thank you to all my followers on Twitter, friends on Facebook, subscribers on RSS and anyone who adds this website’s posts to social bookmarking websites.

What a perfect 6 month anniversary post. Gratitude keeps the world going round. :))
I may be late to the party, but think your thankyous are excellent, and hope you have many more things to be thankful for as the trip unfolds. I’m sure there’s lots of people that would like to thank you, too.
duck fetus? so glad that was you and not me.
Thank you guys for the comments :D
Eileen – it’s never too late for a comment ;)
