Crocs and Flying Monkeys (Last tour of Sandakan Part 2)

The crocodile adventure park in Sandakan is cheap to get in and basic inside, it consists of different types of crocodiles in enclosures along with a few other token animals and fishes.

This 700kg bad boy had previously eaten 4 people before being captured 20years ago, next to him was a croc which had been here over 50years and the only grandparent of the park weighing in at 800kg.

There was a crocodile show too which I went to see but seemed to consist of 3 members of staff just whacking the crocs and then bowing to us afterwards, entertainment it certainly was not and for that reason I wouldn’t overly recommend this park.

After that we visited some other park which I have no idea what it was called but there was some deer there (who seemed amused to see us), a parrot, a lake, and that’s about it.

Then after a bit of lunch was the mini zoo. There was a few things to see here, an otter screaming for food was the first one to see, they give food to give out to the animals on entrance so I gave a fair chunk to the otter as it seemed hungry. Next and highly entertaining was the monkeys. The monkey enclosures had a pool for each one and a few monkeys felt it was necesary to jump into it to stay cool in the heat which provided much amusement for the crowd (see video to side).
