The national sport of Thailand is Muay Thai boxing which may be listed on betting sites such as 벳위즈. It can be relatively expensive to see in Bangkok at around 1000Tbh for a ring side seat, attending elsewhere such as Chiang Mai will get you a similar seat for 400Tbh. There is more to it than one-on-one battles with Thai men kicking the crap out of each other.

You may be wondering who’s interested in publishing what you’ve written about your adventures. There are hundreds of potential markets and publishers so I have suggested 10 here. Make sure you have a good story in your well written article and you should find one of these publications happy to work with it.

Monkeying around

October 11, 2009 · 7 comments

After seeing just 3 Orangutans at Sepilok, it became clear I’ve not seen much wildlife since being in Sandakan, despite it being one of the better places in Malaysia to see some. There is another place nearby (15km away or so) called the Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary. Which is a Santuary for proboscis monkeys. A primate with a strange nose and different colour fur to most other monkeys. They are also endemic to Borneo Island and can only stay in forest areas near a river so you can’t see them anywhere else in the world apart from a few places on Borneo Island.
