Privacy Policy

At AdventureRob.com, we place the highest importance on respecting and protecting the privacy of my visitors and customers. Our most important asset is our relationship with you. We want you to feel comfortable and confident when using our website. Therefore, we would like to share with you the following principles that govern our information practices and other privacy aspects of our website. Throughout this policy, we refer to information that personally identifies you as “personal information”.

Information Collection and Use

We collect information from you as our user at several different points on our website. We are the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

Contact Form

We use a contact form on our website to allow you to contact us directly with any questions or comments you may have. We read every message sent in and try to reply within a week to everyone as appropriate.

We use the information you provide me to respond directly to your questions or comments. We may also retain your comments to improve the site and it’s content, or we may review and discard the information.

Cookies

Cookies are a mechanism to remember information about a visitor from one page to another. Web browsers store cookies so that the browser itself can remember some information and then, on request, pass all that information up to the server at one time.

To make up for the cost of hosting on the website, we use various advertisments such as Google AdSense to offset the cost to us of bringing this information to you. Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to you as our users based on the visit to my site and other sites on the internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.

For some of my PPC advertising campaigns, we use Google conversion tracking. In that case, they would set a cookie with a 30 day duration. You can decide not to accept cookies like these by setting your Internet browser user preferences. Then you would simply not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

And here is what we have to include because we use Google Analytics, an website analysis tool that let’s us know on which pages you guys break off so that we can keep improving the site:

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website (and many others) by doing this. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Log Files

We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. We keep this information for my internal use. In detail, we do not share it with others.

In aggregated form only, we may at their request share data such as the number of site visitors in a single month or the number of site visitors in a given year with our advertisers, e.g. Google AdSense and Commission Junction.

Our site contains links to other websites over which we have no control. We am not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of other websites to which you choose to follow a link from our website.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those other websites so you can understand how they collect, use and share your information. This privacy statement applies solely to the information we collect on the AdventureRob.com website.

The security of your personal information is important to us. To prevent unauthorised access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to protect the personal information submitted to me, both during transmission and once we receive it.

No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
