Slovenia? It’s more like sLOVEnia.

I have never been to a country in Europe where a €30 – €60 a day budget was actually realistically possible. You must be thinking that there must be a bad reason why Slovenia is so cheap. Well, I’m not an economist but Slovenia is a third of the price than neighbouring Italy and Austria and has ALWAYS been cheaper than Hungary and Croatia. Sounds like backpacker’s dream to me….And it certainly is. For tips, I looked at My Destination Slovenia. It prepared me with everything I needed to know.

During my travels, I have only had one day visiting vineyards and wineries. I blogged about it my time in these Australian wineries previously. While I only spent one day visiting them, I visited around 7. This included a chocolate tasting place and a beer brewery too. One great thing about them is they are often closely located, and you get to try awesome new things. I didn’t know I liked Rye Whisky for example, but after trying it at one of them I’m a big fan now.

Prague on a Budget

This is a guest post from Ceri Houlbrook.

As a self-proclaimed history-buff, culture-junkie and travel-addict, a trip to Prague obviously ranked high on my bucket list. I’d heard nothing but good things about Czech’s beautiful capital; everyone who’s been there sings its praises, commending the architecture, the history, the atmosphere – and, more often than not, the beer.

You build your excitement and wonder what you’re going to be treated to, but wouldn’t it be helpful if you could have a conversation about your dream holiday in advance, with the team who work there? Wouldn’t you be interested to see exactly what’s going on at your holiday today? And in the summer?

Mallorca

This is a guest post from Liah S Thorley.

So which is it, Mallorca or Majorca? To the Spanish there is no question; the latter is nothing but a touristic invention. But it’s not only in the name that this island is that complex, like a coin there are two sides to Mallorca. The first is the common perception of home from home cuisine and the pub down the road with the big screen TV. The second is a beautiful island of rugged coastline, stunning beaches, historical architecture and classy real-estate.
