Writing about travel to fund your own travels is a dream job for many people. However articles don’t publish themselves, you have to go out there and get your name known yourself.
A publisher who will always publish your work is yourself, setting up your own blog is the ideal start to a travel writing career and acts as a online walking talking resumé.
Some places pay you if it is what they are after, some offer a link back to your website so you can build up your portfolio of articles across the internet. It is not necessarily the best to chase the paying publishers first for long term gain.

Interesting article, feel free to add adventureal.com to the list bro.
Rob, thanks for the list! I didn’t know that several of these blogs accepted submissions.
Great site and info! Thanks
I know writing your ‘travel escapade’ and be able to share your adventure to others is indeed a rewarding career to choose.
But as you’ve said and point out, you need to make yourself known to others. You are the only one who can make it so, by doing technique that mostly works!
Thank you for the lists of information, It will surely help! :)
